We’re finally here: my new album, Re-Covered, is available everywhere now. I’m so happy that I got to make this album with such wonderful people, and ecstatic about how it’s turned out. I hope you’ll take a listen! http://smarturl.it/Re-Covered
I had a great time drinking wine and chatting with Jackson Truax for this lovely LA Weekly piece – have a read!
Tidal asked me to write about 5 albums that changed my life, so I did. Check it out, and if you get your music on Tidal, look out for my new album there on August 4th! The first three songs are streaming there now.
JUST ANNOUNCED: I’m going to play an in-store show and sign some CDs and deluxe albums at Electric Fetus in Minneapolis on August 4th – album release day! – at 7pm. Hope you’ll come for the music and celebrate the release of ‘Re-Covered’ with me. It’ll be great to be home and sharing music on a special day. RSVP on Facebook.
I got to chat with Brian Hiatt for Rolling Stone’s Music Now podcast last week – we talked about my whole career and my new album Re-Covered. Check it out here!
Something new: I went up to Berkeley, California to record “Someone Like You” with the amazing Kronos Quartet, and we made a video documenting those sessions. Here it is, courtesy of Billboard: my Re-Covered version of “Someone Like You,” (ft. Kronos Quartet.)! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: working with Kronos Quartet was a dream. I’m so grateful to them for the idea to collaborate, and I’m so happy that this was the song we tackled together. Please check out the video!
Friends and fans – it seems like about the right time, so I released another song from my upcoming album, Re-Covered today: “When The Stars Come Out,” which I wrote with Chris Stapleton. I drew a celestial, calligraphy-packed, illustrated lyric video to go with my version of the song – check out the premiere in Taste of Country. The song is also available now on PledgeMusic and everywhere you get music (iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc) along with two other songs from the Re-Covered album – “Someone Like You” (ft. Kronos Quartet) (written with Adele) and “Home” (written with Dierks Bentley).
