Rijksmuseum
So HAPPY the Rijksmuseum is finally open again! One of the great joys of European gigging for me is this museum’s collection, now on display in beautiful high-ceilinged, luminous rooms. YEAH!!!
A Song A Day
Writing a song a day for 30 days. Except that it’s been 35 days and I’m not stopping. Crazy but happy.
“Sioux City Swinger”
I recently sang a bunch of Beach-Boys-esque background vocals on “Sioux City Swinger,” a song by the Twilight Hours, my brother Matt and John Munson’s band. I’ve been putting my Beach Boys fantasy on everyone’s tracks lately, I think some of them are going to stick, too.
St. Pancras Old Church
Last week I played one of my favorite gigs ever at St. Pancras Old Church in London. The church was built in the 12th century and the acoustics, architecture, and stage (complete with gravestones underfoot) made for an extremely memorable show. I wish I could have played all night! For those who couldn’t be there – here are some photos that give you a small hint of the venue’s magic.
